It keeps us on the right path.
It helps us always to remember that we are the servants of ALLAH.
It saves us from disobedience and from evil things.
It makes us God-fearing, aware of God, our Creator and fear Him for disobeying His order. It helps to build a good character, to develop a sound and steady personality and to lead a disciplined life.
It makes us responsible people able to conduct our lives properly.
It makes us clean and healthy.
SALAT makes us sincere Muslims, true servants of ALLAH and kind to all human beings. While offering prayers, we stand before ALLAH our Lord. We present ourselves before Him so it is very important that we should be clean in heart and body. That is why we wash ourselves in a particular way which is prescribed by the Prophet of Islam before we offer prayers. It is called WUDU. (Ablution)
