Makkah

The Holy City of Makkah, which lies inland 73 kilometers east of Jiddah, is the place where the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, was born - the place where the first message was  revealed to him and the city to which he returned after the migration to Madinah in 622 AD.

Makkah has many names. In the Quran, Allah mentioned a few different names of Makkah

 (In Surah fath 48:24)
And He it is Who has withheld their hands from you and your hands from them in the midst of Makkah, after He had made you victors over them. And Allâh is Ever the All-Seer of what you do. (24).

History of Hajar-e-aswad.

History of Hajar-e-aswad.
In the middle of a deserted valley surrounded by mountains, two men were at work. Slowly slowly, brick by brick, they were building the house of Allah . The friend and Prophet of Allah , Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his dear son, the grandfather of the Prophet (SAW), Prophet Ismail (AS) were building the (Kabah), continuously supplementing to Allah, until the Kabah had been created. It was missing one stone. On seeing this, Hazrat Ibrahim(AS) instructed Hazrat Ismail (AS) to go search for a stone, so that he can put into the empty space. Hazrat Ismail (AS) obeying his father’s orders went searching for a stone, during which time Hazrat Jibrael Alayhis Salam brought the Hajre Aswad to Ibrahim (AS). Allah SWT had placed the stone in mount Abu Kays, when the great flood occurred in the time of Hazrat Nuh (AS), and ordered Hazrat Jibrael Alayhis Salam that when you see my friend making my house, take the stone out for him and give it to him.

Hazrat Ismail (AS)returned, and on seeing this stone he asked (Oh my father, where did you get this from?” Hadzat Ibrahim (AS) replied, “Hazrat Jibrael(AS) brought it.)
Hazrat Jibrael(AS) placed the stone in its place, and Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) applied the finishing touches. The Hajre Aswad was sparkling because of its pure whiteness, and it enlightened the north, south, east and west.

"It has been related in a Hadith that Hadhrat Jibrael(AS) brought the Hajre Aswad from Jannah."

MOST IMPORTANT THING
"The Hajre Aswad is that stone, from which millions of Muslims begin their tawaaf. When it first came from Paradise, it was brighter than snow and milk. Its length is approximately one foot and is embedded in the corner of the Kabah. Allah Ta’ala has given the stone a special attribute, that if any human kisses, touches or even gives istilam to the stone, it seeks forgiveness of sins for that very human and on the day of Judgement the stone will be given a tongue and will give witness for whoever has visited it on that day.

History Of Jannat al-Baqi

The Origins of Al-Baqi:
Literally "al-Baqi" means a tree garden. It is also known as "Jannat al-Baqi" due to its sanctity, since in it are buried many of our Prophet's relatives and companions.
The first companion buried in al-Baqi was Uthman b. Madhoon who died on the 3rd of Sha'ban in the 3rd year of Hijrah. The Prophet (S.A.W) ordered certain trees to be felled, and in its midst, he buried his dear companion, placing two stones over the grave.
On the following years, the Prophet's son Ibrahim, who died in infancy and over whom the Prophet (S.A.W) wept bitterly, was also buried there. The people of Madina then began to use that site for the burial of their own dead, because the Prophet (S.A.W) used to greet those who were buried in al-Baqi by saying, "Peace be upon you, O abode of the faithful! God willing, we should soon join you. O' Allah, forgive the fellows of al-Baqi".
The site of the burial ground at al-Baqi was gradually extended. Nearly seven thousand companions of the Holy Prophet (R.A) were buried there, not to mention those of the Ahlul Bayt (a). Imam Hasan b. Ali (a), Imam Ali b. al-Husayn (R.A), Imam Muhammad al-Baqir (R.A), and Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (R.A) were all buried there.

Among other relatives of the Prophet (History) who were buried at al-Baqi are: his aunts Safiya and Aatika, and his aunt Fatima bint al-Asad, the mother of Imam Ali (R.A). The third caliph Uthman was buried outside al-Baqi, but with later extensions, his grave was included in the area. In later years, great Muslim scholars like Malik bin Anas and many others, were buried there too. Thus, did al-Baqi become a well-known place of great historic significance to all Muslims.

WHAT IS ZAKAT?

ZAKAT
Every Muslim who has wealth in his possession above a certain minimum for a year must give a part of his wealth in that year for the benefit of the needy and other noble causes to other Muslim brothers. This is called Zakat.

SALAT, which we offer, puts us closer to ALLAH. Zakat reminds us of our duties to ALLAH. Zakat too brings us closer to ALLAH.
Zakat is a form of welfare money.
Zakat is the money which is used for the well being. health and prosperity of those who give it and those who receive it. These are the principles behind the giving of Zakat, Islam teaches us the need, for social Justice and no one should suffer in justice at any cost.

Islam wants all Muslim to live a dignified and honourable life. The rich may not become richer and the poor may not become poorer without any justification. The rich must give Zakat so that the poor may have enough for their needs.

The rich Muslims transfer some of their wealth to the poor so the wealth remains in circulation just like blood in human bodies which circulates throughout the body and moves round to all parts of the body. In the same way, the wealth circulates in all people of Islam.

ZAKAT is not paid as charity or as a show of wealth and kindness. If it would happen, the giver of ZAKAT would not be superior to those Muslims who would receive it.

Islam establishes a just society in which all Muslims are equel. ZAKAT is a duty by which we return the wealth to other fellow Muslims. The Islamic state is responsible to collect ZAKAT from the rich persons of the country and for making it available to the poor and needy, but if for any reason the Islamic state or non Islamic state is unable to collect ZAKAT, it still has to be paid by rich Muslims to the poor or needy Muslims by themselves privately. ZAKAT is compulsory for only those Muslims who have wealth above a limit fixed by Shariah but those Muslims who have no wealth or have below the limit fixed by Shariah, they are not eligible to pay ZAKAT.

ZAKAT is paid once in a year. It is calculated at the rate of two and half percent of one-fortieth part of a Muslim's total wealth. For an example, if we have saved onthousand rupees (Rs. 100/-) for a year and that is not spent in the whole year, then we have to pay Rs. 2.5/- only as ZAKAT.

ZAKAT is an act of worship. It is also an appreciated form of Ibadat. Zakat means purification, Zakat clean our wealth and purifies it. It also teaches us that wealth should be earned by honest and lawful means. Zakat also uplifts our soul, our heart, our attitudes and our feelings and sentiments. It prevents us from being greedy and selfish.

ZAKAT is Ibadat. Money received from Zakat is used for the welfare of the poor or the needy Muslims. Zakat brings the rich closer to the poor. It unites us into a happy family. It makes the life happy and comfortable for every Muslim.

It helps the poor Muslim to become better than before. It helps the needy Muslims by helping to reduce their suffering or by bringing it to an end. It makes the rich to cooperate or work with the poor. It protects the society and the community from tension ad disorder. Thus Zakat cleans and purifies the human society.

ZAKAT is indeed a great blessing for all. It is a blessing for those who give for those who receive and for the society as a whole.

ZAKAT establishes a society in which the resources are shares and the Muslims care for one another.

It is, therefore, a great sin not to pay Zakat and to try to avoid sharing our wealth with the needy Muslims.

Islam teaches us that it is a very bad thing to let the people suffer from hunger and disease and not to help them.

The Prophet (ALLAH bless Him)
says that he is not a true Muslim who eats while his neighbour is hungry. Hunger and poverty anywhere are challenge to our conscious as Muslims.

ZAKAT teaches us to give what we have in order to eliminate or wipe or our misery and hunger from human society.

PROCESS OF WUDU:

We wash our each hand upto the wrist : 3 Times
We rinse our mouth and nose : 3-3 Times
We wash our face also  : 3 Times
We was our each arm upto the elbow  : 3 Times
We pass our wet hands over the head : once
Finally, we wash our both feet to the ankle  : 3 Times

Benefits of SALAT

It keeps us on the right path.
It helps us always to remember that we are the servants of ALLAH.
It saves us from disobedience and from evil things.
It makes us God-fearing, aware of God, our Creator and fear Him for disobeying His order. It helps to build a good character, to develop a sound and steady personality and to lead a disciplined life.

It makes us responsible people able to conduct our lives properly.
It makes us clean and healthy.

SALAT makes us sincere Muslims, true servants of ALLAH and kind to all human beings. While offering prayers, we stand before ALLAH our Lord. We present ourselves before Him so it is very important that we should be clean in heart and body. That is why we wash ourselves in a particular way which is prescribed by the Prophet of Islam before we offer prayers. It is called WUDU. (Ablution)

Taraweeh

Taraweeh is necessary for Muslims who keeps Fast and it has got thousands of virtues, and we have 20 rakaat's for taraweeh and let we see in the light of hadith and by the act of Sahabah.

Later Umar (RA) Allowed CongregationPraying at Night in Ramadaan (Taraweeh) Bukhari :: Book 3 :: Volume 32 :: Hadith 227 Narrated Abu Huraira:Allah's Apostle said, "Whoever prayed at night the whole month of Ramadan out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven." Ibn Shihab (a sub-narrator) said, "Allah's Apostle died and the people continued observing that (i.e. Nawafil offered individually, not in congregation), and it remained as it was during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr and in the early days of 'Umar's Caliphate." 'Abdur Rahman bin 'Abdul Qari said, "I went out in the company of 'Umar bin Al-Khattab one night in Ramadan to the mosque and found the people praying in different groups. A man praying alone or a man praying with a little group behind him. So, 'Umar said, 'In my opinion I would better collect these (people) under the leadership of one Qari (Reciter) (i.e. let them pray in congregation!)'. So, he made up his mind to congregate them behind Ubai bin Ka'b. Then on another night I went again in his company and the people were praying behind their reciter. On that, 'Umar remarked, 'What an excellent Bid'a (i.e. innovation in religion) this is; but the prayer which they do not perform, but sleep at its time is better than the one they are offering.' He meant the prayer in the last part of the night. (In those days) people used to pray in the early part of the night."

Twenty Three RakatsPrayer in Ramadan Malik :: Book 6 : Hadith 6।2.5Yahya related to me from Malik that Yazid ibn Ruman said, "The people used to watch the night in prayer during Ramadan for twenty-three rakas in the time of Umar ibn al-Khattab."*Note:Twenty of Taraweeh and 3 of witr.We also find that some of the Taba'een used to pray 20 and some used to pray 36 Rakats in Tarawih. (Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaiba, Vol.2, Pages 165 & 166).

Praying at Night in Ramadaan (Taraweeh) Bukhari :: Book 3 :: Volume 32 :: Hadith 226 Narrated Abu Huraira:I heard Allah's Apostle saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it (the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven।"

Taraweeh is 20 It is related from Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (RA) : ‘The Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) would pray 20 Rakats and then witr in the month of Ramadhan।’ (Musnad ibn Abi Shaybah vol 2, p294/ Sunan Baihaqi vol 2, p496/ Tibraani Kabir vol 11, p393/ Musnad ibn Hameed p218)

Ibn Hajar Al Asqalani (RA) related from Imam Rafi (RA) : The Prophet prayed 20 Rakats in Taraweeh on two consecutive nights with a congregation in Ramdhan। On the third night many more people gathered (for a congregation) but the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) did not appear before them. In the morning the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) stated: ‘It occurred to me that this prayer (20 Rakats in Ramadhan) could become compulsory (Fard) upon you, and you would not be able to bear it.’ This narration related by Hafiz Ibn Hajar Asqalani, after relating it, he used to state: ‘There is a consensus amongst all the Muhadditheen that this narration is sound (Sahih).’ (Talkeesul Habeer Fe Takhreej Ahadith Rafi ul Kabeer vol 1, p119)

Sayyidah Aisha (RA) related: ‘After these nights (23, 25 &27th) the congregation grew to a very large number on the 29th night। The Masjid of the Prophet had become filled to capacity. On this night the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) only cameout to lead the people for the Fajr prayer. After the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) stated: ‘I knew that you had gathered for the night prayer (Taraweeh) but I feared that this prayer would become compulsory (Fard) upon you and you would find it difficult to fulfil. (Sahih Bukhari vol 1, p269/ Sahih Muslim vol 1, p259)

Even in the days in which the Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) did not pray in congregation, Sayyidina Ibn Abbas (RA) has related: Verily in the month of Ramadhan, The Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) used to pray 20 Rakats and Witr independent from any congregation। (Sunan Baihaqi As-Sunanul Kubra vol 2, p496)
